Mark 3 Ion Extractor Cone


 

Overview:

Construction of the extractor cone for ECRF injector.

 

Extractor Cone Stock (2/3/2006)

304L stainless steel rod will be used to fabricate extractor cones.

Faced off on lathe. 1.5" OD by 12" long 304L SS alloy.

Turned down using taper adjustment at 60 degrees. Base of cone is 0.95"

Diameter reduced to 1.37" for proper clearances in 1.5" OD tube.
