Tear down of an Abex AP09V Hydraulic Pump. This is a variable displacement swash plate pump with pressure controlled swash plate regulator.

Building spline adapter from 12 point AND20000 aircraft accessory drive to ABEX pump spline.

Material is 30% glass filled PEEK

Spline is heated to glass transition temperature of PEEK and PEEK rod is pushed into spline, extruding the flutes in the spline.

10 sec on, 30 sec delay, 7 sec on, 15 sec delay, 10 sec on, 5 sec delay, then press fit

Heated spline is press fit between centers extruding inner flutes. Alignment is accurate to 0.002" TIR
